Yesterday, I was surprised by the Cherokee Education Foundation reps., along with Superintendent Hightower, and CCSD Board Chairman, Kyla Cromer, who honored our program by approving a CCEF Grant for $2500. The money will be used to secure licenses for technology based assessment(ESGI program) for all preschool teachers for next year, as this is an annual expense. So glad to have the support of the foundation for the youngest in our district.
The Ralph Bunche Center preschool program recently received a donation of $1,690 from the Soliel Optimist Club. Principal Donna Adams accepted the gift presented by Ed and Valerie Hill on behalf of the club. The donation support will support activities such as Donuts for Dudes and Muffins for Moms, bus transportation for reading buddy visits by Teasley Middle School students and a field trip to The Art Barn.
