Canvas Learning Management System Pilot (select schools)
Cherokee County School District is currently piloting for the 2016-2017 school year a new Learning Management System called Canvas with select teachers across the district. As a parent, this may mean you will have access to both Aspen and Canvas for the remainder of the current school year until Canvas is available to the entire district beginning in Fall 2017.
The Canvas LMS provides a seamless environment for students, teachers, and parents to access course content, assignments/assessments, grades, and attendance, along with the integration of additional technology tools such as OneDrive and Office 365.
For directions on how to set up a Canvas Parent Account, please see the PDF document Creating A Parent Account in Canvas or the video, How to Create a Parent Account in Canvas. For more information on using Canvas, please see the self-paced CCSD Canvas Parent Orientation Course (no user name or password is required to view the Orientation Course).
