Principal: Amy Graham
Contact Mrs. Graham
My name is Amy Graham, and this is my 18th year in public education. My husband Frank is a teacher at Mountain Road Elementary where our two children Kendall (8) and John Allen (7) attend school. Frank and I both come from families of educators. Originally from Warner Robins, Georgia we moved to Cherokee County in 2003.
I taught 6th grade in Warner Robins at Feagin Mill Middle School for four years. The former Chapman Intermediate is where I began my career in Cherokee as a 6thgrade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. From there I moved to Creekland Middle School where I served as a teacher and assistant principal. Five years ago I moved to Teasley Middle School which greatly prepared me for my transition into my first principalship. I look forward to proudly wearing my orange and blue and representing your Jaguar.
My bachelor degree was obtained from Georgia College and State University in Middle Grades Education. After moving to Cherokee County, I attended Kennesaw State University and graduated with a degree in Educational Leadership. The following year I graduated from Piedmont College with a focus in Curriculum and Instruction.
I know this year your child will have a wonderful experience at Johnston where everyone will learn something new every day. I am so excited to be a part of the Johnston Elementary staff. Our motto this year for all students, staff and parents will be #umatter.
