Character Education at FMS
August is Respect
The theme for character education in the month of August is Respect. Our lesson this month begins with the Mark Wills song, Don’t Laugh at Me. A song about acceptance and respect for others.
The next week, we will show the videos on Respect, Pass it On. The Pass It On campaign was part of a group of advertisements for television. Great videos with a great message.
Finally, we will have our image from the Habitudes program on Hosts and Guests. Learning how to be respectful and being a good host and guest.
September is Responsibility
October is Citizenship
The FMS counseling department led the lessons for October and early November with a focus on citizenship and bullying. Being a kinder and more thoughtful citizen…
November/December is Compassion
Freedom spends the months of November and December preparing for our big giving time called the Spirit of the Season. We reach out to students and family in the FMS community to help with gifts for the holidays. This year was bigger and better than ever. Several FMS families will have a better holiday because of the giving spirit of the faculty, students and their families.
