ESOL Students visit Kennesaw State University

Elizabeth Santillan and Karla Gonzalez-Munoz thank Dr. Wiseman and Ms. Abbott for the opportunity to visit KSU.

Creekland Middle School partnered with Creekview High School to provide an opportunity to our 8th grade and high school ESOL students to visit Kennesaw State University this week. These students were able to meet with the head ESL professor on the KSU campus to discuss what opportunities KSU offers to their ESOL population. Our students received a campus tour where they visited the School of Business, saw an average size classroom on campus, enjoyed lunch at the KSU Commons, learned about college admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and most of all: they gained positive reinforcement, and a vision of what they can accomplish with hard work and support. We thrive to see our kids excel and collectively we work hard to build their confidence so they can take that next step in achieving their academic goals, one step at a time.  The students were so pleased they wrote Dr. Wiseman a thank you note for providing this opportunity.
