Introducing Clark Creek Elementary STEM Academy’s new principal, Ms. Joey Moss. Ms. Moss is a Cherokee County native and proudly serves her community.  Ms. Moss began her teaching career with Cherokee County School District twenty years ago.  Her teaching experience includes ten years in the classroom at Woodstock Middle and Carmel Elementary, and ten years in leadership as a Teacher on Special Assignment for the District in the area of Professional Development, an Assistant Principal at Woodstock Middle and Principal at Boston Elementary. Ms. Moss earned her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Kennesaw State University.  She has also obtained a master’s and specialist’s degrees in curriculum and instruction from Brenau University.  Additionally, Ms. Moss completed her leadership certification at her alma mater, Kennesaw State University.  Ms. Moss feels strongly that you should never stop learning!  She is looking forward to serving Clark Creek’s Red Hawk Nation!

Ms. Moss, along with her husband and two sons, are actively involved in the community. Ms. Moss enjoys spending time with her family and friends more than anything else.  She quotes that as Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  Ms. Moss believes that as parents, faculty and staff, and students join together, trails will continue to be blazed!



Assistant Principal, Ms. Jillian Nichols

Ms. Nichols is a Georgia native who lived in Blue Ridge most of her childhood.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Reinhardt College in Early Childhood Education, Gifted Endorsement from North Georgia RESA, Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College, Teach 21 Certification through CCSD, Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University, and is currently working on obtaining an Educational Doctorate. Her experiences working with children, including her teaching positions at Canton, Hasty, Kleven Boston, and Oak Grove Elementary Schools, have been very positive and gratifying.  She has also been an Academic Coach, EXP Coordinator, RTI Chair, ASP Assistant Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at Clark Creek STEM Academy.

Having the opportunity to be an educator who gets to see young people learn and grow is a treasure she holds dear.  Outside of work, she relishes spending time with loved ones, traveling, volunteering, learning, crafting, eating desserts, and going on GoPro adventures.  She looks forward to an amazing year at the Creek, getting to know staff, students, and all other educational stakeholders in this community.

Assistant Principal, Ms. Melinda Roulier

Melinda Roulier is an Alabama native who has lived in Georgia for the last 17 years. She attended the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!) where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.  She also has a Bachelor’s degree from LaGrange College and a Master’s degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education.  In May of 2015, she completed her Specialist degree from Kennesaw State University in Educational Leadership.  She began her teaching career in Cherokee County at Boston Elementary School where she taught, 1st, 2nd, EIP and was Math Coach.  She then spent one year at Oak Grove Elementary Fine Arts Academy as an Academic Coach before becoming an Assistant Principal at Clark Creek STEM Academy.  Melinda and her husband, Dave, have been married for 19 years and have 3 handsome boys, Ethan & Brady-12, and Griffin-9.  She is very excited to be at Clark Creek STEM Academy and feels privileged to be able to work with some of the county’s best students and teachers!
