Ball Ground ES STEM Academy Principal Earns Doctorate Degree

Category : CCSD

Dr. Christian A. Kirby

Ball Ground Elementary School STEM Academy’s Principal has achieved an educational milestone of his own!

Principal Christian A. Kirby is now Dr. Kirby, as this week he completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University.

“I chose to pursue a doctorate degree because I truly do consider myself a life-long learner,” Dr. Kirby said.  “I feel that I can constantly continue to learn and grow both professionally and personally.  This degree has challenged me to do this on both fronts.”

Dr. Kirby, who joined Ball Ground ES STEM Academy this year after serving as Principal at Little River ES, previously earned a Specialist in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Educational Leadership, both from KSU, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia College & State University (now North Georgia University).

“I am blessed to have incredible support from a loving wife and children and to work in such an amazing school district!” Dr. Kirby said.  “Without the love and support from both home and work, this task would have been exponentially more difficult.”
