Mrs. Chandler graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a BS in Elementary Education.  She earned a Master’s degree in Education from Georgia State University, a Leadership certification from Kennesaw State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

She has worked in various metro Atlanta school systems for the past 32 years; of course, Cherokee County School District being her favorite!  Previous administration positions include; the Assistant Principal for Boston Elementary and Knox Elementary, a principalship at Johnston Elementary for four years, and the Principal of Bascomb Elementary for two years.

 

Ms. Weber is a Georgia native who lived most of her life in Cherokee County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern University in Early Childhood Education, Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University, Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education from University of West Georgia, Gifted and Teacher Support Specialist Endorsements from North Georgia RESA, Teach 21 Certification through CCSD, and recently completed her Educational Leadership degree from Kennesaw State University.

Ms. Weber began her teaching career 25 years ago in Cherokee County where she taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, EIP and ESOL. She has served as Assistant Principal at Bascomb Elementary for the past two years.

 

Mrs. Shaw received her Bachelor’s Degree from Wingate University in North Carolina. She earned a Master’s Degree from Kennesaw State University in Educational Leadership. She also has an ESOL Endorsement.

Mrs. Shaw started her career 17 years ago teaching 5th grade in North Carolina. Her next journey took her to Florida where she taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grades before moving to Georgia 11 years ago. While in Cherokee County, she taught for 6 years at Boston Elementary teaching 2nd grade and ESOL. In 2012, she became the Assistant Principal at Oak Grove Fine Arts Academy. This is Mrs. Shaw’s second year at Bascomb as an Assistant Principal.
