Cherokee High School




Creekview High School

Maddi Rhodes, Junior, Soccer









Maddi is the daughter of Sheri & Brent Rhodes.  She is a member of the Creekview Soccer team. 

Maddi has been a member of the Soccer team for the past 3 years.  Maddi plans to play Soccer for Kennesaw State University after graduation. 

Her recognition includes:

  • 1st Team Region as a Sophomore
  • 2nd Team Region as a Freshman
  • 1st Team All County Freshman and Sophomore year
  • Key Scholar Award Winner



Parker Baldwin, Senior, Soccer









Parker is the son of Julie and Ken Baldwin.  He is a member of the Soccer team at Creekview. 

Parker will attend Georgia College State University after graduation. 

His recognition includes:

  • Varsity Letter recipient Soccer


Etowah High School

Kayla Head, Senior, Lacrosse & Volleyball








Kayla is the daughter of Kelly and Jimmy Head.  She is a member of the Varsity Lacrosse and Volleyball teams at Etowah. 

Kayla plans to attend the University of South Carolina, where she will study Sport and Entertainment Management.  She hopes to continue playing Lacrosse with the Club Lacrosse team.

Her recognition includes:

  • Lacrosse Scholar Athlete Award
  • Lacrosse MVP
  • Team Captain – Lacrosse
  • All County Lacrosse 2015, 2016 and 2017
  • Lacrosse Offensive MVP Award
  • Freshman Volleyball MVP & Captain
  • Cherokee County Athlete of the Month 


Hector Guerrero, Senior, Soccer









Hector is the son of Maricela Uribe and Hector Guerrero.  He is a member of the Varsity Soccer team for Etowah.

Although, Hector is still waiting on his acceptance letter, he plans to attend college in the fall and major in Pre-Med.  He hopes to continue his Soccer career at the college level.

His recognition includes:

  • JV Coach’s Award for Soccer
  • Scholar Athlete
  • 3 year letter recipient for Soccer
  • Letter recipient for Cross Country
  • Elite 8 Playoffs for Soccer as a Sophomore and Junior


River Ridge High School




Sequoyah High School

Ryelyn Wells, Junior, Soccer









Ryelyn is the daughter of Lori and Jeff Wells.  She is a member of the Soccer team at Sequoyah. 

Ryelyn has accepted an offer to further her academic and athletic careers at the University of West Georgia. 

Her recognition includes:

  • Awarded the Newcomer of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards as a Freshman
  • Awarded the Offensive Player of the Year and Team MVP awards as a Sophomore
  • All County First Team Soccer both Freshman and Sophomore years
  • 2017 Elite Eight Team
  • Leading scorer for the past 3 years
  • 2016 & 2017 Georgia State Club Champion

Coach Holland had this to say on Ryelyn’s selection as Athlete of the Month “Ryelyn Wells is the player that coaches dream about having on their team.  Her dedication, skills, and love for the sport is what I admire most above her.”


Justin Wrobleski, Senior, Baseball









Justin is the son of Christi and Brad Wrobleski.  He is a member of the Baseball and Basketball teams at Sequoyah. 

Justin plans to play Baseball at Clemson University after graduation.  Coach Whitley had this to say on Justin’ nomination “Justin is currently hitting .429 with 2 doubles, 3 triples and 3 home runs.  He has 2 wins as a starting pitcher with an ERA of 3.203.”

His recognition includes:

  • 2018 Perfect Game Pre-Season All American
  • 2017 Pre-Season Underclass All American
  • 2018 Southeast All Region 1st Team


Woodstock High School

Anna Watson, Senior, Lacrosse









Anna is the daughter of Nina and Keith Watson.  She is a member of the Varsity Lacrosse team at Woodstock High School. 

Anna plans to attend Piedmont College and play Lacrosse after graduation. 

Her recognition includes:

  • Academic Letter Recipient
  • Lamp of Knowledge Recipient
  • 3-year Letter Recipient 
  • 2017 Best Defender
  • 2016 All County Honorable Mention
  • 2017 1st Team All County
  • 2017 2nd Team All State

Coach had this to say on Anna’s selection as Athlete of the Month “Anna stands as a true leader for Woodstock Girl’s Lacrosse and Athletics. She has proven to her team and community that she will conquer and rise above any expectations set forth. She is the driving force of the team on the field and always a positive impact for her teammates.  Anna’s attributes do not stop at phenomenal athlete, academically she maintains an exceptional GPA in honors level classes. I look forward to watching Anna play at the next level, and I am proud to be her coach.”



Caleb Bartolero, Senior, Baseball, Football










Caleb is the son of Stephanie and Jason Bartolero.  He is a member of the Varsity Baseball and Football teams at Woodstock High School. 

Caleb plans to attend Troy University and play Baseball after graduation. 

His recognition includes:

  • 2-year Varsity letter recipient
  • Back to back Sweet 16 (’16 & ’17) Football
  • 2017 7A State Runner Baseball

Coach had this to say on Caleb’s selection of the Athlete of the Month “Caleb Bartolero has been selected for Woodstock High School’s Male Athlete of the Month. Offensively, he has had a March to remember. This month he is hitting .455 AVE with 1 2B and 1 HR. He has 9 RBI’s in the 8 game span, with 1 HBP and 5 BBs. He was selected captain by his teammates and plays catcher on defense. He has signed his NLI to play baseball at the next level with Troy University.
